As a member of a non-profit electric cooperative, you receive electricity at cost! And, Clay Electric's cost of power is among the lowest in the state. Comparison surveys throughout 2007 indicated that Clay Electric's residential rate for 1000 kWh was lower than approximately 90 percent of the 52 electric utilities surveyed.

The co-op's residential rate also averaged several dollars lower than the average of eight neighboring utilities.

When you factor in the co-op's 2008 Capital Credits refund of $6.25 million, the co-op's rates get even better for entitled members.

And, Clay Electric's base rate hasn't increased since 1992!
