AMI Technical Service Manager

Clay Electric Cooperative, Inc., located in Keystone Heights, Florida, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of AMI Technical Service Manager.  This is a highly responsible technical manager’s position within the ICT department.  In broad terms, the responsibilities of the AMI Technical Service Manager fall into three main areas: 1) responsible for the successful implementation of the AMI/MDM IT systems required to support AMI at Clay Electric; 2) responsible for the ongoing end-to-end monitoring, administration and support of CEC’s AMI/MDM and 3) responsible for identifying and delivering additional value from CEC’s AMI/MDM on an ongoing basis.

The AMI Technical Service Manager will meet these responsibilities through a mix of: 1) hands-on effort; 2) delegation/management of employees supervised and 3) engaging other CEC employees and/or contractors as appropriate.

This position requires graduation from an accredited college or university with a  Bachelor’s degree  in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEMs) plus four (4) years of experience in supporting, programming, implementing and maintaining information and communication dependent systems.

Individuals in this position must maintain a valid State of Florida driver's license.

This position requires 5+ years of AMR/AMI technology experience.

This position requires hands-on experience with project management, process development, documentation, and execution of AMI systems.

This position requires 5+  years of experience with directly managing data analyst and administration resources to execute processes.

This position requires strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas and designs to both technical and non-technical staff.

This position requires a proven ability to work in a collaborative manner with an extended team of peers to ensure user requirements are fully satisfied.

This position requires experience with server database tools (SQL, Oracle, etc.)

ICT Specialist

Clay Electric Cooperative, Inc., located in Keystone Heights, Florida, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of ICT Specialist. Initial responsibilities will include cross-training for rapid familiarization with the broad range of all of CEC's ICT systems and infrastructure with escalating responsibility for design, development, implementation and support of complex ICT solutions.

Essential job functions of this position include:
         Increasing Productivity and Member Satisfaction.  Look for and take opportunities to communicate with other employees on ways to take advantage of information and communication technology to increase productivity and/or member satisfaction. 
         Systems and Solutions Supported. Work   in   the   various   areas  within  ICT  to  become familiar with the systems and solutions supported.  Document existing systems and work processes to in support of the ICT Department's efforts to prepare for employee succession.
         Research.  Research important work processes at CEC looking for opportunities to leverage technology to significantly improve productivity or Member satisfaction.
         ICT-based Solutions. Proactively develop, implement and support complex ICT-based solutions of high value to the Cooperative and its Members. 
         Technology/Improvement Opportunities. Stay current on the state of technology and identify opportunities to improve work processes and productivity.
         ICT Projects. Handle the planning, design and implementation of minor information and communication technology projects and provide support for major ICT projects.
        Technical Support
. Strive to establish and maintain good communications and to provide technical support to other employees throughout the cooperative.
        Response Availability
. Respond to critical system down situations on a twenty-four (24) hour basis.

This position requires graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate’s degree in information or networking technology, plus two (2) years of related experience.  Related experience may be substituted for required education on a year-for-year basis.

Associate Developer

Clay Electric Cooperative, Inc., located in Keystone Heights, Florida, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Associate Developer. Individuals in this position are responsible for creating and supporting applications and interfaces in support of CEC systems and services. This position requires graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate Degree in Computer Science, Business or a related field, plus three years of development experience using an object oriented language and one year of .NET development experience in a Microsoft stack. Individuals in this position must also maintain a valid State of Florida drivers’ license.

Essential job functions include identifying improvements and updates for current solutions; Creating new interfaces for or integrating with existing interfaces of CEC systems; Developing specifications for new applications based on requirements; Deploying applications’ solutions to testing and production environments;  Creating systems requirements for productions application environments; and peer review code and providing feedback.

Engineer – Substation Division

Clay Electric Cooperative, Inc. located in Keystone Heights, Florida, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Engineer in the Substation division of the Engineering department. This position requires graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering plus two and one half (2 ½) years of related experience. Individuals in this position must maintain a valid State of Florida driver’s license. Experience in the following areas of substation engineering within an electric utility is also preferred: developing substation drawings and schematics, SEL protective relays and communication processors, designing protective relay schemes, physical substation layout design, material/equipment specifications, and National Electrical Safety Code (NESC).
