Clay making progress on restoring power

As of 5 p.m. today, 7,484 members remain without power from 13,000 this morning when work resumed. At the peak of the storm, 43,000 were without power. Weather last night and two auto accidents created outages in Columbia and Union Counties today.

All outside crews and available Clay Electric construction personnel are working in the Gainesville and Lake City districts (Alachua, Baker, Columbia, Gilchrest, Levy, Marion, Suwannee and Union Counties).

Southern Columbia and Northern Alachua have the most damage and the most members out of power.

All crews will remain in the Gainesville and Lake City districts until all services are restored. Our crews will continue working but we cannot guarantee power will be restored tonight.
