As of Wednesday afternoon, Clay Electric reached the threshold of substantial restoration, meaning at least 98 percent of members had power to their homes and businesses following the effects of Hurricane Debby.
Our crews, assisted by mutual aid workers, continue to work into the night to restore power to a remaining 3,000 members, the majority of whom are in the Lake City District, which includes Columbia County. Clay Electric continues to estimate that service area will reach 98% restored by 7 p.m. Thursday.
As of publication, of the 15 counties Clay Electric serves, at least 99% of members in 14 counties had power.
