First things first:
To help us to easily identify the location of your outage, please make sure your contact information, including your telephone number, is accurate and up to date in MyClayElectric.
To report an outage:
• The quickest and easiest way to report an outage is through the MyClayElectric web or the mobile app.
• Registered MyClayElectric users can text OUT to 855-939-3840. You must be a registered MyClayElectric use, have a working mobile number in the Managed Contacts section of MyClayElectric, and have single meter on your account to use the texting feature.
• Call 855-939-3840.
Please do not report outages on social media channels or by email. These messages will not be relayed to the Control Center.
During severe weather or a widespread outage, there is no need to report your outage. We are already aware of the interruption and working as quickly and safely as possible to restore power.
The outage system will generate an Estimated Time of Restoration (ETR) based on historical data and weather patterns. Restoration could be sooner than the time provided, or in some cases may take longer due to unforeseen circumstances. Note: ETR may not be available during a large outage or a major weather event.
To get the status of an existing outage:
• View the Outage Map.
• Review current outages through MyClayElectric under Contact Us/Track Issue Status screen.
• Text STATUS to 855-939-3840. You must be a registered MyClayElectric user, have a working mobile number in the Managed Contacts section, and have single meter on your account to use the texting feature.
Be sure to confirm your breakers are on before you call to report an outage. If you leave your home during an outage, please be sure appliances such as the oven, stove, or iron are not on. When power is restored, this could cause a dangerous situation.
