Clay Electric Cooperative will resume disconnections for accounts with a past due balance on Tuesday, July 7. To help members during the coronavirus pandemic, Clay Electric temporarily suspended service disconnections due to nonpayment of bills.
Members with accounts subject to disconnection will receive a letter in the mail letting them know the date they will be disconnected and the amount due to avoid having their service disrupted. Members having trouble paying their electric bill can visit this page for a list of local organizations that may be able to help.
Out of an abundance of caution, our lobbies remain closed because of the pandemic, but the drive-thru is available for payments. In addition to the drive-thru, payments may be made by mail, online, by telephone autopay or by night depository. Services such as opening or closing an account, or making changes to services, can be made at ClayElectric.com. Account balance inquiries, service orders and more can also be handled online or by calling 1-800-224-4917.
