The Montgomery Conference Center is located south of Starke in both Clay and Bradford counties, and offers a meeting and camp space. Funding from the grant will help renovate a lodge used by veterans and bring at-risk teens to the camp.

Friends of Dudley Farm is a volunteer organization that supports the preservation and interpretation of Dudley Farm Historic State Park, located in Gainesville. Feed the Need of Putnam County exists to end childhood hunger over the weekends in Putnam County by providing nourishing meals to more than 850 children. Funds from the grant will be used to purchase food for the program.

Soldiers Freedom Outdoors seeks to provide a safe, holistic place where military veterans can heal from post-traumatic stress disorder by engaging in outdoor activities. Grant funds will be used to expand the equine therapy program.
 

YMCA Take Stock in Children Florida’s First Coast - $15,000

The YMCA is the First Coast’s largest service provider, touching more than 109,000 people in 2016, with programs that emphasize its core values of carling, honesty, respect and responsibility. Funds from the grant will be used to support Take Stock in Children, a mentor and scholarship program.

Camp Kulaqua, located in High Springs, is an outreach ministry of the Florida Conference of Seventh-Day Adventists. Grant funds will be used to help purchase a generator for the cafeteria building.
 

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Jacksonville - $5,000

Since 1988, Ronald McDonald House of Jacksonville has supported the needs of over 33,000 families seeking medical treatment at Jacksonville’s major pediatric healthcare providers. Funding from the grant will be used to enhance the House Volunteering program for high school students in Orange Park.
 

Alachua County for the Homeless and Hungry - $10,000

GRACE is a one-stop homeless resource center serving Gainesville and Alachua County. It provides emergency shelter for 10 military veterans every night. Grant funds will be used to furnish the veteran dorm.

Rotary Club exists as an international service organization focused on addressing the human condition through investments of time, talent, and money. Grant funds will be used to replace the flooring at the Clay County Dental Clinic in Green Cove Springs.

Altrusa International of Lake City - $6,750

Altrusa is an international nonprofit organization making local communities better through leadership, partnership and service. Grant funds will go toward Make a Difference Day and the Backpack Project, which provides weekend meals for underprivileged children.

The Union County Recreation Board provides recreational opportunities to the youth in the community. Funding from the grant will be used for facility improvements.

Pay It Forward Outreach Corp is a charitable Christian donation program assisting families facing economic hardships by providing furniture, housewares, clothing and other essentials. Grant funds will be used to support the Hope at Home program, which empowers families through furniture and housewares assistance and financial and healthy living education.
 

Early Learning Coalition of North Florida - $15,000

The Early Learning Coalition serves parents, caregivers and educators of children ages birth to pre-kindergarten by managing and evaluating early child care and early education programs through a quality school readiness delivery system in Baker, Bradford, Clay, Nassau, Putnam and St. Johns Counties. Funds from the grant will be used to support the themed literacy program.

The Baker County 4-H Youth Development Program serves youth from all backgrounds and interests by helping them gain knowledge and life skills. Funds from the grant will help install a concrete walkway at the Baker County Arboretum.

The GFWC High Springs New Century Woman’s Club is the largest civic club in the area with 98 members. The historic building is used often for a variety of community events. Grant funds will help with facility repair and improvement.

Henderson Haven in Orange Park serves students with developmental, intellectual and learning differences, as well as those who are nonverbal or have behavior challenges. Funds from the grant will be applied to facility repairs and improvements.
 

New Technology Made Simple Now, Inc. - $10,000
(Alachua County)
New Tech Now in Alachua provides new technology equipment and training to veterans, seniors, disabled citizens, and underserved youth. Grant funds will provide equipment for a new maker space project at M.K. Rawlings Elementary Center for the Fine Arts in Gainesville.
 

Pilot Club of Palatka - $7,500

The Pilot Club’s mission is to influence positive change in communities throughout the world, with a main focus on brain health and awareness. Grant funds will be used to improve the playground at E.H. Miller School, including the addition of ADA-approved equipment.

Lake Swan Camp, located in Melrose, provides facilities for meetings, camps and retreats for people of all ages. Funds from the grant will help purchase a new walk-in refrigerator/freezer.
 

George’s Lake VFD Station - $15,000
(Putnam County)
George’s Lake Area Volunteer Fire Department is a nonprofit volunteer community organization that responds to local emergencies. Its volunteers respond to medical and wildfire emergencies, assist with repairing storm damage, and monitor the well-being of senior citizens during major storms, as well as host a variety of community events. Grant funds will be used to renovate the restrooms for handicap accessibility.
 

Stirrups ‘n Strides Therapeutic Riding Center, Inc. - $3,000

Stirrups ‘n Strides’ mission is to provide therapeutic horseback riding and carriage driving to anyone with physical, mental or emotional challenges, and to improve the quality of life for these individuals with the opportunity for emotional, educational and physical growth through horsemanship and competition. Funds will be used to provide ADA-approved accessible parking spaces.

The Education Foundation is a non-for-profit organization that is the direct support organization for Lake County Public Schools. Grant funds will be used to support the ACT Reading Prep program, a remedial reading program for high school students.

The Florahome-Grandin Volunteer Fire Department is a volunteer organization that strives to provide excellent, innovative and professional fire protection, life safety and public education to meet the needs of its diverse community. Funding from the grant will be used to repair the building’s roof.

The CF Foundation seeks to change lives through education by providing community awareness, advocacy and funding to the college. Funds from the grant will support the CF Patriot Fund, which assists students when unexpected financial emergencies occur.

St. Phillips Lodge #55 is part of the Masonic organization and offers such community service projects as Adopt a Family, Unity in the Community, back-to-school supply giveaways and youth football sponsorships. Funds will be used to support the annual Christmas toy drive.

Funding from the grant will be used to engage public speaker Chris Herren, a former professional basketball player who speaks about substance use prevention.

The ACE Mentor Program of America, Inc. helps mentor high school students and inspires them to pursue careers in design and construction. Grant funds will be used to fund scholarships and/or technical training for Clay County students.

Riders with Caring Hearts is a small group of motorcycle enthusiasts banding together to conduct periodic charity rides to benefit deserving local charities. Grant funds will be used to support the Columbia County School District Homeless Education Program.
